Pengaruh Penggunaan Sistem Informasi Akademik terhadap Efektivitas Manajemen Data Mahasiswa

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has encouraged higher education institutions to optimize academic data management through digital systems that are fast, accurate, and integrated. One of the most widely implemented systems is the Academic Information System (SIAKAD). This study aims to examine the influence of SIAKAD usage on the effectiveness of student data management. A quantitative approach using descriptive statistical methods was employed, involving 150 active students as respondents. A Likert-scale questionnaire was distributed to measure students’ perceptions of system usage and the effectiveness of academic data management. The findings indicate that the level of SIAKAD usage is categorized as high, particularly in terms of ease of use, information accessibility, and user interface clarity. The results also show a significant improvement in data management effectiveness, especially regarding information retrieval speed, data accuracy, and grade transparency. Overall, the study concludes that the use of SIAKAD directly contributes to enhancing the quality of academic data management in higher education institutions. The study recommends system integration, service quality improvement, and optimization of SIAKAD modules to further support effective data management.
