Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption and business process automation on operational efficiency, as well as to examine the role of organizational readiness as a moderating variable. The research is motivated by the growing need for organizations to leverage digital technologies to accelerate workflow and enhance competitiveness. A quantitative approach was employed, with data collected through Likert-scale questionnaires distributed to respondents involved in technology implementation within their organizations. The data were analyzed using moderation regression techniques to assess the direct effects and interaction among variables. The findings indicate that both AI adoption and business process automation have a positive and significant impact on operational efficiency. Furthermore, organizational readiness was found to strengthen the relationship between technology implementation and efficiency improvement, suggesting that organizations with higher readiness levels can gain more optimal benefits from digital transformation efforts. These results highlight the importance of internal preparedness as a critical factor in the successful implementation of AI and automation technologies. The study provides practical implications for management in designing effective digital transformation strategies and offers recommendations for enhancing organizational readiness prior to adopting AI-based and automated systems.
